Explore the Hussite heritage and medieval underground
The Hussite Museum in Tábor will introduce you to the story of Master Jan Hus, the founding of the town of Tábor, the warlord Jan Žižka and the military weapons of the time. This fascinating exhibition is divided into three parts: the Hussites interactive exhibition with films and artefacts, the impressive Gothic Town Hall from 1521 and the medieval underground, which consists of corridors and cellars from the 15th and 16th centuries, excavated to a depth of up to 16 m. Underground spaces they served as shelter and a place to store food.
The exhibition is barrier-free, with audio guides and guide texts for the blind. Children will appreciate comic panels, interactive tasks and the opportunity to try out historical equipment.
